HIKE INC offers excursions uniquely tailored to your group’s
particular abilities and desires. The possibilities are
limited only by your imagination! Perhaps you envision
a special day trip to search for wildlife, or to visit
choice birding locations at dawn. Do you want an Introduction
to Backpacking? HIKE INC will instruct you in route finding,
no-trace camping, and provide all of your equipment and
culinary needs. How about a photographic safari or an
artists’ day trip? For the ultimate in lightweight
trips consider Horse Assisted hiking where we have partnered
with Horse outfitters that will haul all our supplies
and gear from Camp to Camp or to the Dave

Multi-day Backpack rates are $190 (Cdn.) per person
per day for our package. We provide all “Group
Equipment”
including tents (2 or 3 person), tarps, stoves, pots,
water filters, solar shower bags and the kitchen sink
(it’s small and light!). Also included is transportation
from your accommodation in Jasper, Valemount, Dunster,
Tete Jeune, McBride and area to the trailhead and back.
Contact us for free shuttle service from train stations
in these communities to your first and last nights
accommodations. All trail meals and trail snacks are
provided and are dried or freeze dried to be lightweight,
tasty, filling and hot. Clients are required to carry
a portion of the group equipment and food, however
we aim for overall pack weights of less than 30% of
your weight. Our guides are trained in Wilderness First
Aid and carry comprehensive First Aid Kits, a Satellite
Phone and Bear deterrents. We take a fairly relaxed
pace to stop and smell the flowers, interpret the other
flora and fauna we find, and provide the local History
and Geological information about the places we visit.

Day HIKE INC: An introduction to Adventure
Join us for a morning or afternoon hike to a variety of
exciting destinations. View Little Lost Lake, climb the
Robson Lookout trail or amble along Swift Current Creek.
Hikes range from mild to more strenuous and will be matched
to your desires and ability. We'll be on the lookout for
interesting wildlife, fascinating flora and spectacular
scenery, and you'll learn about how animals make a living!

Day Hikes from Mild to Wild
Lace up your boots, strap on your pack (or rent one of
ours) and get ready for us to pick you up and take you
on a day long hike in the Robson Valley. Trips range from
gentle 3 to 10 kilometer walks at Jackman Flats Provincial
Park to moderate excursions to the alpine at McBride Peak
or Mount McKirdy near Valemount. If you are game for fording
a creek then the upper Spittal Creek is a splendid challenge.
For the most physically fit we can offer a climb of over
1000 meters to Mount Terry Fox or other spectacular alpine
destinations. Call us to find out where we are going today!

INC Van-Assisted Day Tour
Travel with us in the comfort of our air-conditioned window
van as we travel the Robson Valley, with a variety of
stops to view Rearguard Falls or Overlander Falls, visit
the Mile 86 Ghost Town Ruins or the Japanese Meditation
Gardens, and perhaps take a short interpretive walk to
the Horseshoe Lake Bird Sanctuary or the sand dunes of
Jackman Flats!
